I'm looking for new tires for my GT. I have the stock torque stars. but I may try to get some 17's
I drive mostly freeway and I want something good for the rain. I drive mostly conservatively, but I dont want tires that have no sport type characteristics at all. And Im trying to stay cheaper end, I know that you get what you pay for with tires, so not too cheap, about $100-150 a tire at most.
I just want your opinion on the tires, because just because they work on a Charger, doesnt mean they do crap on a Grand Prix.

I have Kumho Ecsta LX Platinums and love them on my stock wheels. Highly recommended. Great road manners, quiet, and can handle like crazy if needed.

I've got uniroyal tiger paw tourings on my stock wheels and have been very happy with them. Had them on for little over a year, rotated regularly and are holding up great. I think they were a little under $100 a tire.

You'll be glad you did. Z-rated all season touring tire with a 60k warranty? I couldn't pass them up!

Tire Rack says W so 168, but I'm not getting that fast in a GT :b
They do look pretty sweet, I like the built in warranty, and w/60000 mile warranty and $101 a tire is sounding great!

    Good years suck.

Go with some FR710's if you can get them. Continental DWS's are awesome. Tiger paws are pretty good. Honestly stay away from any directional tire.

Kuhmo has some good tires, but they wear out really really fast, but thats why they are cheap.

Price would probably put it out of the budget.

And why is every tire from one brand overpriced and not as good as they say?

Yeah, I need quality, on a college kid, part time job budget.
AND, I kinda want new 17 inch rims, I don't mind the torque stars, but I want black rims, and powder coat comes off eventually. AND then I have a set of rims for drag tires. :]

OH!!! and does anybody know the weight of the Torque Star? I have the non-chrome rims... I believe that means they are brush aluminum?
