So I have a grand prix 1996 that has hubcaps on it. Quite frankly I hate hubcaps so i took them off and left just the metal, anyway i found an old bonnevile with gold snowflake rims (the kind seen on 80's trans ams alot). I tried to put them on my car but the rotor doesnt come out far enough, the rim hits the brake pad.

Do I need new rotors, and by extension longer lug nuts to compensate, my question is how am i supposed to put any rims n here if they hit the capilers...???

Figure out the offset and size of the those rims.

Im guessing they are too small and wont clear the calipers. Find some rims off the grand prix of your same body style that are alloys, those will work.

1996 and before GP's use low offset rims. im betting those bonne wheels have a high offset. do what this guy ^^ said.

The bolt pattern of 5x115 on your wheels is very common on GM cars, so that won't be an issue. What WILL be a problem on Gen I w-bodies ('88 - '96) is the offset, which is +25. Very few cars will have that low of an offset, which means very few options for wheels that will clear the brake hardware. The Bonneville crosslaces look identical to the GP ones from outward appearances, but they're a lower offset, and are only 16" x 7" vs 16" x 8". Your best bet is to find a set of factory Gen I GP wheels like the crosslaces, or popular 5-spokes.

CURRENT: '00 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (ugh...boring regular one)
