I just got me a set of Comp G rims from Morads. Great deal on em too. Thing is they have loads of nicks in the clear coating & curb rash on the lip. I'm wondering if there's amything that I can use to fil in the nicks like superglue or epoxy? The curb rash on the lips of the rims idk what to do about that. I may eventually paint the rims black.

Well if the nicks are only in the clear coat and not in the metal you could always fulfill the ardious task of refinishing them by hand. That means taking each one and sanding it with higher and higher grit sand paper and then either reclear coating them or polishing them every week or so. Most people who do that in order to get them perfect spend about 10 hours per wheel to do it.Originally Posted by SDGTP99
However if the nicks for yours are few and far between you could always do spot refinishing and just mask each area off and redo it. The curb rash I am drawing a blank on because as far as I know it isn't really fixable (I'm sure there is a way though).
In the end though just painting them black and clearing them would be the easiest route. But just like painting any other surface you would want to sand the surface to be painted to be smooth for the best results. Otherwise you could end up having the nicks show up in your newly painted wheels.

Youtube it. They make a brazing kit to fix this stuff.

Steel wool works great for the lip! Just takes awhile to clean it up!
