I'm getting 4 Blizzak LM60's for my GXP this winter. My question is, on tirerack.com its almost the same price for 4xLM60's with 4 new 17" rims than it is for 4 of the normal LM60's (2 wide up front, 2 normal in back, both for the stock alcoas).

Is it possible to just get the 4 new tires and 17" rims and have everything run fine? If so, I'll probably do that and just swap everything out every spring and fall.

    Thanks ahead of time.

As long as you get the correct size yes there is no problem with running 17's...in fact it's prob a good idea to keep you Alcoa rims nice and keep them from pitting and what not.

On tirerack.com I just search for winter tires for my car (06 gp gxp) and there's an 18" package and a 17" package. The 17" package includes the rims. I guess I just noticed that the 17" "preferred package" comes with "WS70" blizzaks.

The PA3's do look pretty nice.

any winter tires will do compared to all season. if ur looking for ultimate snow performance, hakkapellita or go home. and go with the 17's

They're tires you'll only have on for a few months and they're better than stocks. Don't break your bank, I'd get the cheaper ones with rims included. Get the 17's.
