Hey guys, need some advice on wheels. I have a 2008 GP Special Edition with the 17" wheel options. I'm considering some replacement wheels and was thinking of ones that are similiar to the GXP wheels. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice?

    THanks.

I know this isnt really helping you pick wheels, but do those 2 bent rims affect the ride of the car? Like is it noticable, because bent rims dont mean that you cant still run them without problems. I see bents rims everyday at work.

well I just read your recent post about them being out of balance, you musta hit a pot hole or hit a curb and ****ed your rims. You can get them re-balanced and see if it will cure the problem or just buy different rims.

They balanced out, but you can feel them vibrate at a higher speeds. I may look into having them repaired.

The Sport Edition KV5 is pretty similar to the GXP rims. And they also come in a 17 inch size so you can still use your tires off your special edition rims.

lots of awesome pot holes in Michigan. In fact, they're part of our daily driving. Not much you can do about it. Plus, these 17" wheels on the special edition suck a$$, this was my second set. The first were replaced under warranty.

Check car-part.com. I found my buddy $30 wheels.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

I noticed the Sport Edition KV5's polished wheels only come in 18" wheels. Will 18" wheels work on my GP Special Edition currently with 17"ers. What will the impact to the vehicle be if I upgrade to 18"?

Nope you'll be more then fine. Get the KV5's in 18 inch and wrap them with some 245-45-18's and enjoy your ride my friend.

There won't be much impact on it. There is always more wear on the transmission with bigger rims cause of the weight, but you should be fine.
