I used exactly the wheels I linked, with the 4.5" backspacing. Proportionally, it's the highest backspacing and offset I can find on wheels of this style.

looks good, altho it would look hotter if those wheels were available in 17x9 and a higher offset so u can fit 255/45/17's on them. just sayin lol.
According to the virtual comparison on rimsntires.com, the overall diameter is actually .8" taller than stock. So it reduces the gap about .4" and lifts the car the same amount. Handling is maybe a little more floaty-feeling (maybe due to the taller sidewall), which is fine since I don't plan on doing any drifting or road course racing in the near future. Still drives straight and corners reasonably well.
I like this!

Eww
looks like a truck. lol or ateam van.
no.
Not my style (first page or second) :th_frowning:
i'd have honestly gone smaller overall diameter than bigger just because you wouldnt have to worry so much about rubbing. higher spring rates on some lowering springs might help with rubbing issues, but it also may exacerbate it, too.
either way, the offset on these wheels is boderline impossible to run without more than stock camber.
You know.. at first I was like no way..
But really it doesnt look bad, would I do it.. hell no!!!. But talk about a cheap rim upgrade.
Like them or not, the Cragars are the probably one of the cheapest new rims you'll find. They beat the hell out of the torquestars IMO.
Man I need ta sell my 18s!
sorry to bring this up from the dead, but i didn't see any need to start a new thread.
I going to purchase some 15x8 wheels like this soon, and since they are an inch wider that the 15X7 that ramfett has, would it be safe to say that a 4 inch back spacing would be good instead of the 4.5 inch?
These rim will be track only so poking out won't be an issue, and the tires will be 275/50/15. That is a 26 inch tire, and the wheel/tire combo i have now is a 26.3 inch tire so im not to concerned about rubbing. Well except on the inside wheel well.
Thank you if you read all that lol.
you should be good.
Thanks, I tried to race at the track with my street tires and all I did was spin, looking to do some drag radials and probably a new transmission
Haha.... Wtf? Those belong on a 92 silverado
