i pick up these (2) dunlop for $140. they're brand new. my question is, it's going to be little hard trying to find another used set with same brand name to match up. will it be ok if i get another 2 different size 18? i'm going to put 255/45 up front and maybe 245/45/18 on the back? this just going to be temperary until i can afford 2 new 255/45.

In addition to being wider, the 255's will have a slightly larger diameter than the 245's. I know having different sizes on the same axle will screw up both traction control and ABS, but I think you should be fine as long as you keep both fronts and both rears the same.

Our cars already tend to sag in the rear, and putting the larger tires in the front will only amplify this effect.

just a note--- i read your pic thread... (looks sweet, btw) even though you bought 2 more of the same size tire, since you bought 2 diff. mfg's they really wont be the same size, (they'll be pretty close, but i've seen almost an 1/8" inch different in overall height between mfg's... so i'd run the mismatched pair in the rear until you can get 2 matching...
