I have on order shiny new slotted & dimpled rotors, premium metallic pads and metallic blue calipers for all 4 wheels.
Before I have those installed I need to clean the inside of my rims, they are the original spec 5 spoke rims with the pontiac emblem in the middle. The oustides are ok, it's the inside of the rims that after 10 years of road grim, dirt and a little rust perhaps that look like crap.
All I have is the spare jack that came in the trunk and a really sloped driveway, I could back the car down to the flat part of the drive, take a wheel off with the lug nut wrench and then hand clean the inside with some kind of cleaner and then of course do it for each of the remaining three wheels.
What would be the best stuff to use to clean the inside of the rims and does anyone think the place where I am having the hardware installed would clean the inside of the rims for me first If I paid them?
Thanks
