Alrighty morrisgl has purchased my GTX Rims in advance (paid but he cant get them till im back from iraq around october) since my car is in storage with the GTX rims still on...

My quest for a new set of rims that will go with my car is on. i know Bio,nick, matt will have some creative ideas i would do alot of the searching myself but i dont have too much free time so i figured i would request some help/insight on some new wheels. (and since everyone hated how small of tires i got last time lol)

    What im looking for:
    Black/Red
    Spoke pattern (5 spoke prefered.)
17'-20' and lets say a budget of less then 1400-1500$

Also wheel offset is 5x115(i think?) and what size tires do you guys think i should run. keep in my my new suspension build.
    Suspension/Braking:
    KYB AGX Struts
    ZZP Control Arms
    Vogtland Springs
    GXP Brakes Front and Rear
    Drilled and slotted Brake Rotors
    hawk pads
    zzp stainless steel brake lines
    anti-pogo washers
    Strut mounts

    -Spartan GL

XPZ, Alum heads,150#, I/C, GEN V mps 3.0, N* TB CAI K&N fully built trans, JE pistons, L32 rods, Comp lifters, PRJ Fuel rails, 65# Injectors, elec pump, MSD wires, MSD coils, Alum control arms, AGX, vogtland, GMPP sway bars, rear trailing arms

Just fyi the bolt pattern is 5x115, not the offset. The offset is anywhere from +35 to +42 or something like that. You can run less offset if you roll your fenders.

Your tire size is going to change with your wheel choice. What size did you want since you were looking at those other guys 20s before?

pick a diameter and tire WIDTH you want to run and i can help more.

you saying you want 17"-20" wheels with an unknown offset with xx suspension mods will lead me no where. with that suspension setup you should be able to run just about anything you set your eyes on so long as the offset and width of the wheel is in check.

most likely because i know how your brain works i will end up recommending you a wheel that is about 18x8 +35mm and run a 245/45/18 tire.

Is this an appropriate time to say +36?

Run 18"s....you dont want big heavy 20"s trying to put the power to the ground you'll be making...

Plus I think 18"s are the perfect size for the GP's....maybe 19"s if they are smexy....but 18"s are where its at.

I have a set of 16' Slicks for the track. this is more of a set for the car shows. But i was leaning toward 18's like 18x8 area and the tire size im not sure since it will be dropped with the vogtland springs. ive been looking at a few sites havent really seen anything i like yet.

Black or Black/Red 5/6 Spoke unless they are something special that catches my eye

CALLED IT. seriously. i called it.

get an 18x8 with a 245/45/18 tire. you'll be happy with that. you don't want 20s.

well i know 20's fit rather snug on a stock height.
since i got the vogtland springs i figured i might wanna play it save with the 18's.

    plus 18's are cheaper

then go wider. get 18x8.5 if you want.

honestly, 18x7.5 is wide enough for a 245 wide tire and itll give you a little bit of bulge with the tire. either way, find an 18" wheel you want and run with it.

    would a 235 be a better fit?

nope. 245/45/18 is the closest you can get to stock out of all 17/18/19 inch wheels.
