Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
So im trying to learn about offset, with these wheels being +42 how close does that make them to being considered flush? Or I hear people say stuff about zero. I love the wheels and just want to make mine as flush as I can and from the looks of the pictures these seem pretty much their but I cant tell for certain since the front angle pic is, well at an angle.
@silver since your the best perspective would you consider this wheel set up to be flush?
Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
get the ones w/ +35 offset and you will be happy. search for bremmer kraft for a 05+ mustang. run a 245/45/18 tire.
but before you do, get lowering springs. you will want them.
edit: oh, and read up on the wheel sticky.
Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
the lower the offset the further out the wheels will be. + 35 mm is a great borderline flush offset. but to truly be hella flush youd want lower offset with some camber and alot of fender work. +42mm is a bit more conservitive while being more agressive than stock, a great choice for people who want to stay away from fender work.
Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
Keep in mind wheel width with offset. Obviously if wheels are wider or narrower, you'll want different offset.
Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
^ yeap forgot to put that in, but these wheels at IIRC 8 inches will be good and applicable to what i said before
Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
And thats what I want I dont want to do any fender work, and if +42 offers me the best combo for "flush" and minimal work then im game. I dont need or want to mess with camber, and I will lower, I might even go with the same springs as Silver the 1" vogtland drop.
I think with my two door it will look plenty low enough for me while still being able to drive around normally.
Thanks for the input guys!
Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
ur gonna be fine with +35 on vogtland drop. people run 18x9 +35 with minimal rubbing.
and no, vogtlands barely drop. id go at least ssc drop.

Like these? How are they different? Is an inch for one company not necessarily an inch for another brand?

We just put these ASA GT5 wheels on last night. Very similar to the ones in the original post. 42 offset. 18x8 wheels 245/45 Hankook tires. No rubbing. I can see where lowering the ride height would make it look better.

Thats stock height right?
Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
Yes stock ride height. I installed new drilled and slotted rotors and painted the calipers red yesterday. We also installed polished grille inserts too. Will new pics up as soon as it dries up outside and can wash it.

I just did mine this weekend. Best way is to take them off completely so you can clean them good and get in small areas. And I'd suggest using G2 paint as it's the best you can get. Only downside, you gotta let it fully cure for 24 hours before using. Plus side though, if properly applied and cure, they warranty it for the life of the vehicle.
Re: Got My New Wheels (pics on car added)
I took off the brackets and left the piston part attached to the brake lines just because I didnt want to bleed the system. We wire wheeled the calipers and brackets and sprayed them with brake cleaner then brushed on 4 coats of caliper paint. We bought a kit at autozone that included the spray, paint and brush. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/f...804-001837.jpg
