it'll fit fine, but the shorter sidewall will make it look slightly goofy compared to the stock overall diameter.

for DR's you'll be good to go.

I skimmed through this thread but couldn't find an answer to my specific question, so here it goes.

I picked up a set of 4 rear GXP 18s (7" wide). The stock size is 225/50r18, but I was wondering if a 235/45r18 would be a good replacement for them. I have no problem going with the stock size, but since I autocross my car semi-regularly it would be nice to have something just a hair wider than the OEM 225s.

I would also like to know if the 7" wide GXP rims would clear the CTS-V calipers in case I ever do the upgrade.

Just by looking at various tires most 235 tires recommend at least a 7.5" wide wheel.

that extra 10mm in width isn't going to give you any more traction with that wheel.

Hi guys, I did some digging but I wasn't able to find a definite answer to my question. I am trying to find an aftermarket set of rims for my 06 GP GXP. I want to get a set of black rims but unfortunately most of the rims I like don't come staggered. They are all just 18x8. Is it safe to put 18x8 all the way around? I never have weight in the car so I'm not worried about the "rubbing under load" I read about. Just want to know if I buy a set of rims if they will work. These are the ones I'm looking at. Any help would be great! Thanks! http://www.caliwheels.com/momo-italy...els-w-2935.htm

you don't need staggered wheels on your car.

in fact, it just makes it harder to rotate tires and do general maintenance.

I think he is just referring to the factory sizes on the GXP, but I agree 100%.

Lots of people run 18X8 and I haven't heard of any issues.

Not 100% on this since I have coils but a 17x9.5 +38? It's that or 17x9 +40. Right now my whees are 17x8.25 +25 and fit all day. I'm not worried about the fenders, if rubbing on the inside I'm worried about.

I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but will a 16x8 wheel fit in the REAR of my 04 Grand Prix GT2? If i need a spacer, what size should i get?
I'll be running the standard 225/60/16 Tires. My goal is just to bounce the REAR tires out from under the fender just a few inches.

Find some pregen Gp rims and you should be able to accomplish your goal.

An offset of 25-40 should fit. The lower the offset the farther out they will sit and you may need to roll your fenders, especially if you're lowered.

I've got a 2008 Grand Prix with the standard 225/60/16 tires and rims. I found some GXP tires and rims 255/45-18 front, 225/50-18 rear
Will they fit ok on my base Grand Prix? Just wondering if the GXP front end components are designed specifically to accommodate those bigger tires and wheels or if my base GP can handle them? I would really like to get the GXP rims but not if they are going to cause me steering problems etc

    Thank you!

    Would a 16" x 6.5" wheel fit on a 2006 GT? Either a 42mm or 50mm offset?

    Thanks!
