    HI..i'm new here.

I have a 2001 Grand prix Gtp,and my wheels are 17 inchs Eagle alloys.
    Tires: 245/50/17..

I have a deal on 19 inch wheels and those are with 255/40/19..

My question is...will the 255 fit on quarters or not..

    Ho and before i forget..i have a 1.6 drop

    thx

You'll probably just have to roll your fenders to avoid any rubbing. I had to do that with my 255's on a set of +40 17x8's.

youre going to have to roll your fenders. i ran 19s with 245/40/19 and they rubbed until i rolled my fenders. the offsets were nearly identical.

the 255 series with the sidewall of 40 is where youre going to run into problems. because the tire is that wide with that much sidewall still youre probably going to rub the fenders, but if you roll them to get them out of the way of the travel of the wheel then im 90% sure they will fit without rubbing.

your suspension is either stock or lifted. youre experience with this stuff differs from many here as i promote lowering with wheels. in order to lower on wheels that size you have to run a stupid amount of negative camber and you probably wouldnt be able to get away with that tire size.

update: just got off phone with wheel pros, 97-03 gps 20x8.5 245/35/20 you can actually lower 1.75 not have any probs, 255/35/20 everyday driving can be lowered but rollin fenders like ^^bio stated is a must

thats ****ed up that theyd give you those specs and claim its true. i had pretty bad rubbing issues running 245/40/19 tires on my 19s with about +38mm offset. once i rolled my fenders they didnt rub anymore, but going lower offset than that or wider wheels with bigger tires sure as hell wont fit without rubbing. maybe its because my car was about 2.5" lower than stock, but even so they shouldnt just say they wont rub.

i know how tire size works, but its the width of the tire that makes the difference for rubbing. these fenders just dont have that much room unless you roll them.
