Ok, so I'm going to be buying some FR500's within the next few months, but I'm stumped on which size to get. But the question basically is which set can I buy without having any rubbing issues and they won't stick out too far? So should I get 18x9 with a 5x4.5 pattern and +24mm offset or 18x10 with a 5x4.5 pattern and +22mm offset. Also, what size tires would I have to buy? tia guys.

18x10 is too big! 18x9 is the widest I would go to avoid rubbing issues (although may still have em!)

Well, I'm not lowered at all either, and I don't plan on wasting my money on it. I would talk to ransom from clubgp about it since he just got some FR500's but I'm banned from there

And will still rub. You need to look for 05+ Mustang wheels with the +36mm offset.

You wont rub if not lowered until you hita bump, but they'll still stick out.

The only ones I could find on ebay have a +30mm offset but are from the 05-08 models. Do you think someone who isn't banned from clubgp could contact ransom for me and get me all the specs to his wheels and possibly the link from where he bought them? Thanks.

Quotes from his posts in the thread where he installed his wheels. He never says the offset but it has to be +30mm:

    1) yeah, the fronts are about .5"-75." out, I'll get a straight head-on picture tomorrow. Its not horrible

    2) the ebay link said 05-07

    3) SUMITOMO HTRZ II tires, 275/40/18s, rubs when turned left all the way a little, road noise is VERY little, hardly any louder than stock

    4) I don't know if the 05+ bullitts are any different from any other 05+ rim, but my FR500s are 05+ and mine only rub on some plastic piece in the passenger side fender when turning left.

Turning right there is no rubbing.

how would these look, would they stick out any?

    18 x 9" - 24mm - 5 on 4.5

yeah, they would stick out pretty far

Try and find some with a 36mm offset..

i love those wheels, but im not sticking any more money into rims and tires. may end up running stock rims all year this year, too broke to have a nice looking car again.

Wow Vinnie thanks for all the info, good to know that I can get these without any rubbing, I really appreciate all the info. And bio, I'm gonna be ordering them from here:

Only $519 for a set of black finish with a silver polished lip Did the research too, and they seem to look like pretty good quality to me.
