My car's ready for new tires and I'm wanting to go with something a bit larger than my 245/45-17's. They're nearly an inch shorter overall than the stock tire. I'm considering a 255/45-17, which is in between stock and what I have now. I'm also thinking of going up the next size (255/50-17), but they are taller by half an inch over stock and I'm worried about rubbing. The car's lowered with SSC springs, BTW.

They're 27.1" tall, where as the stockers were 26.7". I just hope it doesn't rub the spring perch in hard cornering.

The next question is: What tire do I go for? I thought about Nitto 555's, or their new Invo, or Kumho Exta SPT's.

i was going to get 255/45/17 to clarify my statement. wide and skinny sidewalls to lower my car a little and get some big traction with.

I have Hankook's on the car now. HRII's. They're pretty good, but I want to try something different and they're not available in 255/50-17, which is the size I want to try, too.

I run Bridgestone Potenza's on my TQ. Stars and they have gone at LEAST 49K with no issues...

Well, after a long search, I believe I've settled on a set of 255/50-17 Nitto Invo's.
