I don't want black so it's about the only wheel I can find under 19 lbs.

For such a big wheel, they do seem pretty light weight

    Nice wheel.
a wee bit lower offset would look better on the car

I thought that too but This is the only way I saw them.
I'll run 50 series on them as that's what I have already.

the second number, ie 50 as you say, determines the height, not the width.

I just mentioned that because the recommended tire series is a 45, and that is what the guy in the article Fordman77 connected me to was running.
To get the right height for that aspect ratio I'll be running a 235 and not a 245. What aspect ratio you want to run really changes the size of tire you want to buy. The overall diameter of about 27" has to stay the same, so every time you change the
aspect ratio the tire size changes. it's always going to be a 27" tire the bigger the aspect ratio the bigger the sidewall will be.

Well tirerack has this wheel in 35 offset in silver. According to the tire spec for my Conti extreme contact DWs in 235-50/18 the rim size is 6.5 to 8.5. So they should be OK. It will be the first time i've tried a Mustang wheel.

235 on an 8.5" wheel is plenty wide.

i've got 245s on my 9.5" wheels and they're fine, too.
