This is annoying enough now to warrant a separate thread in the appropriate Rant Forum; I have to change my washer pump... but at every box store I go to, they, to the last one, have universal fit only! I have four choices: wait until the one mom-and-pop store in the area opens up tomorrow, go to the dealer and sign away my first born child (and I have no children to begin with, so you know how that'll go!) for authentic AC Delco part that might also be universal, go to Rock Auto (who at least have two direct-fit options) or haunt the boneyard... At this point in time, I'm beginning to bet on the boneyard!

A washer pump is a washer pump.

Look at the pictures and or just hold one in your hand. Aslong as they look the same, have the same clips at the top and 1 barb on the outside to plug the rubber line into, then it will fit and work.

I've bought napa washer fluid pumps and they work just fine. Just remember it might say universal because GM made 10 vehicles that use that same exact pump style.

If you are creative, and diligent, you can take the pump apart and free it up. Usually what happens is the motor shaft seal leaks a little and the corrosion locks the shaft, if you can remover the corrosion and get the motor to trun again, chances are it will still have some life in it. Reassembling the pump will also take some creativity.

In the end, this comedy of errors wound up being everything except the pump being clogged! I reamed out the nozzles & hoses... and finally everything works! Momentarily had a clog still in my LH wiper's nozzles, but I cleared it!

On a side note: when changing the sidemarker bulbs earlier, I discovered the method of digging through the splash shields was unnecessary; all I had to do was pull the passenger's headlamp assembly and go in through there! Didn't even have to crawl on the wet ground...
