I literally just stormed through the door from getting back from a trip uptown to the post office, so this is still a little fresh in my head. I apologize in advance.
I have three packages to mail today, no big deal. Printed my labels through PayPal, so they literally ONLY need dropped off. I didn't get the last package ready until about 11:30am and I knew that I only had until Noon to get to the Post Office.
So, I roll out of here and get to the post office at exactly 11:35am. The godd@mn inside door is locked! The lady inside, who I just bought a mailer tube from no less than 30 minutes earlier, is still standing at the counter waiting on a customer. The ONLY other person in the entire building besides me I might add and she is obviously going to have to let him out. So, she gives me this "tough sh!t" stare and continues about her business. I look around to find a printed off sign at the top of the door informing me that due to their "Holiday Hours" they close at 11:30 on Saturday. I almost tore the outside door off the hinges.
Well, that makes a whole lot of sense! Since it's the BUSIEST time of the year, lets close the doors EARLIER. Just lazy... period, and I know the only reason they did it was so they wouldn't have a line of customers at Noon still waiting to be helped. Wanna make sure I get off in time and all. Wouldn't want to help anymore people than I have to. The worst part is, all she had to do was TAKE the packages. They didn't need weighed, didn't need postage put on them, didn't need sh!t except put in the bin. And she knows me (small town), knows I have the same boxes about twice a week, so she knows the routine.
So in closing... F You Odessa, MO Post Office! I only hope you all are expecting packages this Christmas and they get lost forever. If they do show up, I hope the mail truck accidentally ran over them 43 times.
My apologies to CoachBlack, Silverbullet and NEONNIGHT34609 who's three packages I had in my hands today to go out. I will get the wife to drop them off on Monday, provided they are still open on Mondays since Christmas is coming up.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
