I literally just stormed through the door from getting back from a trip uptown to the post office, so this is still a little fresh in my head. I apologize in advance.

I have three packages to mail today, no big deal. Printed my labels through PayPal, so they literally ONLY need dropped off. I didn't get the last package ready until about 11:30am and I knew that I only had until Noon to get to the Post Office.

So, I roll out of here and get to the post office at exactly 11:35am. The godd@mn inside door is locked! The lady inside, who I just bought a mailer tube from no less than 30 minutes earlier, is still standing at the counter waiting on a customer. The ONLY other person in the entire building besides me I might add and she is obviously going to have to let him out. So, she gives me this "tough sh!t" stare and continues about her business. I look around to find a printed off sign at the top of the door informing me that due to their "Holiday Hours" they close at 11:30 on Saturday. I almost tore the outside door off the hinges.

Well, that makes a whole lot of sense! Since it's the BUSIEST time of the year, lets close the doors EARLIER. Just lazy... period, and I know the only reason they did it was so they wouldn't have a line of customers at Noon still waiting to be helped. Wanna make sure I get off in time and all. Wouldn't want to help anymore people than I have to. The worst part is, all she had to do was TAKE the packages. They didn't need weighed, didn't need postage put on them, didn't need sh!t except put in the bin. And she knows me (small town), knows I have the same boxes about twice a week, so she knows the routine.

So in closing... F You Odessa, MO Post Office! I only hope you all are expecting packages this Christmas and they get lost forever. If they do show up, I hope the mail truck accidentally ran over them 43 times.

My apologies to CoachBlack, Silverbullet and NEONNIGHT34609 who's three packages I had in my hands today to go out. I will get the wife to drop them off on Monday, provided they are still open on Mondays since Christmas is coming up.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!

You're lucky. The post offices here aren't even open on Saturdays. Only state I've ever been to where that's the case.

That sucks man. We were at a McDonald's here in Iowa after we got kicked out of the state fair as we were leaving. (We got to ride in the security carts back to our car lol beats walking) We got into a McDonald's about 5 min before they locked the door. Right after they locked the door another group came up and they would not let them in after the guy up front went to the back to make our food we decided to let them in our selves. He came back up and gave them a dumb look lol

He said well I'll tell you what if you go down the road and I cut him off and Said I will tell you what! Do your f*in job and left. Next day I went up there talked to the owner...rmmm I got my tire put on for free! I mean I could understand if I wanted him to like put it on my car and all that stuff! yeah...UPS may cost more but I think I am going to steer away from sending stuff via USPS...I just recently wrapped up a nightmare of a shipping issue with an ebay buyer and USPS was right in the middle of that one....let me just say if you do have to file an insurance claim with them...they will make you jump through all kinds of hoops...oh and if you take their insurance...SAVE EVERY LITTLE PIECE OF PAPER THEY GIVE YOU ON THE TRANSACTION AND COPY ALL THE NUMBERS ETC DOWN ON THE LABELS ON THE PACKAGES YOU ARE SENDING!!!.

I hate their prices, I had to ship a computer cpu back to a guy and I wanted it shipped fairly quick. The guy at the counter gave me the choices of next day, priority,or some other air. I went with priority mail or I could have shipped it via air and got it their in the same amount of time, but for almost double the cost.

usps is only good for christmas cards, providing you mail them early, ups is famous for delivering to wrong addresses, and rarely get them to you undamaged, dhl...just forget about them.... Fed Ex has proven time and again to be most reliable, but they're also the most expensive.... thats just the nature of the beast

i can relate this topic with my experienced on post office here in chicago. no matter what time of the day i go there's always at least 10 or more people standing in line, the saddest part is there are 4 registers at the counter and only 2 or sometime one customer service open. i hate it when i have someone in front of me (usually an old lady) will have 20 letters want to mail it out. for crying out loud, there's a stamp machine they can buy and put them on themself. usually they would buy $30 worth of stamps and want a certain design style of the stamp.

sometime i have to go pick up a package cause i have to sign it, well they have a separate window/door for that. you still need to stand in line. if you walk up there and ring the bell they would just tell you to go back in line and wait your turn.

here's another thing i hate when it's my turn to be help after standing in line for 25 minutes, the customer service would get up and walk to the back room who know what he/she do back there. i'm stand twirling my thumbs around and there's still a long line behind me.

Stamp machine? What the heck is that? HAHAHA! Our post office had one that NEVER worked. They recently removed it so now the counter is your only option. Chalk up one more reason to hate my post office.

I have sold tons of things on Ebay and shipped hundreds of packages through USPS. Knock on wood, I have never had anything lost or broken. My real problem here was just with my local office.
