i dont think its will be totaled. did the paint blister or anything like that? or you got it out/went out just in time?
changing out some burnt wires to the cab and new plug wires and what ever else got crispy cant cost all that much to repair at a shop.
would cost even less if you took the money and fixed it your self. soldering wires is easy stuff. a few pig tails maybe and whatever those wires leading to the firewall i saw cooked up. a new p/s line maybe.
ill just show them pictures of their own house and what they drive or something... make sure they're aware who they're dealing with! "i know where you live" haha! The only thing that could run against me is that they will say that the car is basically 10 years old, in the insurance ladies words "fire can result in hidden damages", and i have 230,000KM(104,000miles?). They like to total **** off to part it out and give you a kick in the ass as payment. they're a government insurance company, so they aren't the best to trust. I can only hope for the best though..
This is a bidding war!!
Show this to your insurance company and maybe they'll give you a fair payout. Is the car paid off ?
Baller!
In all seriousness it doesn't look bad you might have to replace a few wires here and there and fix the what looks like vc leak.
$63.36 and a weeks vacay in Florida. 70 degrees here now. Top that Scotty!
Eff that. I will give you an 04 Cavalier with a blown ecotec plus a fire extinguisher and a nickel.
