So yesterday I work a double shift between both jobs, and just as I am getting home and settling down to sleep, I get a text from Classy Pontiac telling me that one of the headlights I had to ship back to him (for some touch up work) was busted in shipping... Ok, I get that, and I know it's not his fault whatsoever, but damn, this fired me up. I mean there is a lot of work in those, let alone money. I get on the UPS website this morning and it is a total cluster trying to file the claim! I call them, and they make no apologies (I get that, never admit fault), and then the snatch on the phone says it's MY responsibility to make sure I remain in contact with the store I shipped from to find out the status of the claim "if they decide they will pay out on it." As if I didn't care about the package, and as if it's not my money in it that's at stake here. So here I am, left with a poor taste for these jackasses, and no further to having resolution than when I started. What really gripes me is that the box looks like Ace Ventura had his way with the box after a weekend long bender and an 8-ball. I mean these people deliver packages for a living. The company logo states they <3 logistics. Obviously thats a crock. If that was the case, my shipment wouldnt look like it had just gone through WWIII, and my headlight wouldn't be broke. Honestly, how hard is it to deliver a package CAREFULLY?! I know I am not the only one this has ever happened to, and I also am aware that stuff happens. Fact of the matter is, this time it happened to me, and I have to deal with it. Fact of the matter is, no matter what the parcel is, you can bet your ass that someone's hard earned money is in that box. Their delivery system obviously is flawed, as well is their claims system. I am not the one that damaged the headlight, and neither is Classy, yet here we are BOTH being inconvenienced as a result of their negligence.

As I told Classy last night, I once witnessed a Ford representative take a baseball bat to a F-150 headlight bucket, and not even scuff it. I mean full on, balls out swinging for the fences, baseball bat. Yet UPS has trashed this one. What did they do, drop it from a 6 story building? How do you break the INTERNAL component of the headlights??

Where in the Hell is the American work ethic anymore? Where is the belief in quality anymore??

End of rant. Thank you for listening!
