I agree, another thing that pisses me off is that the 19 yr old "mother" is teaching her child that those actions are ok by running away and not facing the consequences. Bad parents are the cancer of this society!! I am sick of POS people having children and wearing the title of dad or mom only to be anything but a father or a mother.

My wife told me about it this morning, and told her thats where "gtpinsc" lives. Thats such a sad story. It's pathedic when kids cant even go out trick or treating without some act of senseless violence.

It dosent matter what weapon is used weather it be a gun knife or a baseball bat. The Justice system has too many cracks and crooks, and anybody can get what they want on the black market. This looks bad to all legal law abiding gun owners, and goes to show people have no reguard for life anymore.

yea everyone that lives here is ak 47 this ak47 that.. blah blah,ur right the system is the problem,he has been convicted of selling crack twice and did prison time.if they tightened laws on drugs, drug related crimes would go down....granted this was an isolated incident.if he was still locked for selling crack this would have never happened!

This is because it has gotten popular due to the fact they were built by the millions, unregistred, cheap and easy to use. Plus some rap/crap music glorify's the ak-47/mac-10/mac-11 in driveby's, which makes it impressionable to young kids & teens. How many times do you hear about that in country music lmao. Thats my personal opinion. Do I own one.... yes, do I listen rap...no. I bought one because my hobby is collection military style weapons and working on them. Personaly if someone comming into my house im grab either my personaly built 870 "house gun" shotgun, or my glock 23c. The ak-47 has great penetration but that becomes a problem in a house. It be bad if someone was in the bathroom takin a crap and he dies because you shot at someone and it went thru your wall and killed him.

Assault weapon crimes in general have risen.im definitely PRO gun but it is simply too easy for ppl like this guy to get access to weapons that powerful.South Carolinas laws are very weak when it comes to firearms. As it stands now..... rifles and shotguns u have to be 18 with no felonies. However its in the works for 18 yr old to be able to buy pistols.Pistols u have to be 21 yrs old with no felonies of course. There is no waiting period on either type of gun.Keep in mind Ar 15s, AK47s,pistol grip shotguns etc. all fall under the rifle category. There needs to be better laws in place to regulate the sale of firearms IMO.The ppl that are caught with stolen guns or felons in possesion of a gun should get hit hard with a lengthy mandatory sentence. There needs to be stricter laws on private gun sales also.A convicted felon can buy a gun from a classified ad in the newspaper all day long. That needs to change!

They have changed laws to make it more strict on "known" gang members that commit certain crimes, give the "known" gang members a life sentence if they are caught with a gun.The only reason they have it is for killing ppl.
take 2 minutes and go to this site http://crime.about.com/library/blgunquiz_sc.htm

Wow...yall dont even have to have a permit to buy a handgun? thats crazy!
In NC you have to either a conceled carry permit or a handgun permit issued by the local sheriff dept. They do a background check when they send in your info, when its cleared ( 2 to3 days), they send it back to the local sheriffs office ,you pick it up and go buy the handgun of your choice. Rilfes and shotguns they do a quick background check where ever you decide to buy it, weather its a gunshop or a gunshow.
