cutting the cat back bolts off or the bolts snapping is normal operating procedure. i put new bolts on there and a year later they still snapped.

Air hammer are nice there, alot of the times the rusted bolts just break and you can air hammer the rest of it out.

Just a little FYI, throw any 12pt sockets back in the toolbox. 6pt only for auto repair. A little blaster followed by a hit with a hammer helps(then let it it sit for a while). Screw a nut on if possible to avoid damaged threads.

50/50 ATF & Acetone will losen those bolts up better than anything else. There was an article in a magazine about it, just google and you will find it.

A lil known trick I've learned is to heat the problem bolt up with a MAPP or propane torch, and melt a candle on said hot ass bolt. The wax drips down, does some magic, and usually works. Not sure why, but it does.

I always use anti-seize compound on exhaust bolts, so the next time they come off in 5 years they are still buttery goodness. Wish everyone did that

Haven't really done much with it since Saturday.. Sunday was Easter so I did nothing then, yesterday Brandon was gone and all I did was cut the DP and got rear mani out. Today, tomorrow, and Thursday I can do anything with it because I have to watch the kiddo every night while the wife is at work. Should get it all buttoned back up on Friday.
