It is snowing right now.... expecting another 4-7" or so....

Well, I am on my way home this morning from work. I round a simple turn in my neighborhood when WHAM!!!! my rearend slides out, and it pulls my car down the crown of the road. INTO and OVER a snow-ICE bank/curb/mailbox.

I pull forward getting my rearend back onto the road. reverse my car so I can go back down the road (3 houses away from mine). I pull in my driveway... and survey the damage.

my rear bumper cover is ****ed!!! It bashed it into the wheel well. tail light is fine from what little bit I glanced at it. but now my back bumper on the drivers side flaps around...or at least it is able to now. the mounting portions of it are cracked off.

I went down and left a note on the persons door with my contact info...

    SO!!!

I need a new/used back bumper.... I dont care what color.

Dude how fast were you going? we got about 5 inch here on LI, and ice, i drove my car sat and it drove like a champ, no sliding no nothing, i was quite supprised on the handing of it in the snow, i got up to like 40 45 on the service rd of the expressway which really wasnt plowed all the great, and she ripped through it all, even muscled though the wall of snow the plows put in front and on the sides of her, one shot in 2 and TC on, ate it for breakfast. I cant wait for the blizzard of 09 to hit, and im only running Fuzion HRI's not winter tires

I was doing 25, the speed limit in my neighborhood. as I am VERY strict on that in a residential zone. I dont know how many times I see kids run out, or be there early for school sitting on the corner, or someone going for a run in the morning.

the turn is long and has a very steep crown in the road... angling toward the opposite side of which I was traveling.

I nose dived the GP into a snow bank in the 'hood here sunday afternoon. I turned the wheel left, it plowed straight @ 15 mph. No damage but the wife was with me and I got it loud enough to warrant damage. I havnt been able to induce a fish tail in the GP yet, however I have seen plenty sliding around during morning rush.

Uhh... why were you goin 25mph when its this bad out?? lol

My parked car got backed into the one day, the lady gave me her info and won't return my calls now after I got an estimate over $1000. That next day I was sitting at a stoplight already a car length away from the intersection just in case... and I was right, a VW tried making a right turn going way to fast, was sliding right for me. I sat there wondering if he was going to hit me and a split decision made me slam it into reverse and then hit the brakes to avoid the car behind me... and his car slid sideways and stopped directly in front of me, I was staring at the passenger and she had a "" look on and the driver was some young kid that was stunned and then sent up a blessing to god or something and then was thanking me or still blessing god... we were bumper to bumper, but i didnt hear anything hit and i was late for work so when he backed up I drove around him and left... lol

I need to take some pictures, we got 9" on the ground one night after it had already snowed 5" and its snowed a few 3" storms since then. Today it snowed over 5" on the ground again... We are beginning to pile the snow in our front yard as well as the backyard.

I was coming back the other day from my buddy's work after it snowed and I think I actually drove sideways for about two miles, I have to admit it was beyond fun tho.

Last winter we had about 1 foot and a half here in atkins, and my GP took it like a champ. Had all the grills overed with cardboard so the snow wouldent pack in them.
