i don't think so. she was just a young 20 something girl. didn't seem to be her style. but the car runs fine. no codes, no incidents. i've driven gtps since 03 and i think one time someone put 87 in it once when they gased up for me. but it didn't do anything.

what really made me nervous was the quote from the gm guy.....

Update! got a call from the cars owner, he told me the machine shop showed him some cracks in the heads between the valves, he claimed that the shop told him that the motor was overheated severely at some point and coolant was leaking into the cylinders, causing they pistons to get chipped first thought was are you talking about dude, he told me to call the shop, i decided to hop in the truck and drive over there, what i found was some seriously F'd up pistons, there were indeed cracks between the heads but the mechinest said he thought the engine (he later more or less was talking about just the cylinders got super heated) we went on talking about how they could get that hot and came down to detonation and he agreed that detonation could cause the super hot cylinder temps and crack heads like the pics show, we went on to talk about the situation that all this happened and he told me that he didn't think 87 vs 91 octane would have that affect even at below 0 temps, UNTIL he found out it had a smaller then stock pull on the blower, it all came together that that point but he didnt want to claim that was for a fact what caused it, he more or less didnt want to get involved and i cant blame him, he was a super cool guy and knew his stuff, anyway heres some pics

BTW thats not junk on the piston those are little knicks in the piston!!

Lasty i leave for basic training for the USMC sunday, i plan to leave this mess in iowa and NOT to return to it, the owner/buyer was very nice and was not trying to get anything out of me today by any means but theres nothing more i can do with the situation

dude, he clearly beat the tar out of it with 87 in the tank, and real cold air. look at that mess. not only did he beat it once, he beat it repeatedly for sure.
