I'm currently trying to sell my iPhone on eBay cause I'm gonna get a new one this Friday. So I listed it starting at $300, or Buy It Now for $450. Well within 5 hours someone does the Buy It Now. I'm thinking sweet! Then the guy ask for my email address to talk to me further about it so I give it to him. Then he send me an email saying he wants me to ship the phone to *****ia, red flag there. Then I receive to separate emails from PayPal stating the money is sent and they're waiting for me to give a tracking number to release the money. But when I log into my PayPal there is nothing at all. So I forward the emails to PayPals spoof email to see and sure enough PayPal emailed me back stating that they are fake emails and not from PayPal. So now I'm stuck paying for the ad and had to relist it. Now someone else has bought it for the Buy It Now price but I believe this person is a scammer as well. Still waiting to hear further from this person.
It may be an old person car, but at least ill be the first one in line for the early bird special at Denny's!

$250 haha. I have a mint condition Black 4S 32G, plus a couple accessories. They go for over $300 all day on eBay. And yes $450 is high, but if someone is willing to pay that then so be it.

There was a Judge Judy episode about this woman who won a bid to purchased a phone off e-bay for $400, well, all she got for her purchase was a photo of the phone, so she was sueing the seller for her money back, the seller stated that the auction was for a "photo" of the phone! Yes, a photograph of phone, that is it, all for $400, therefor no mis-representation was present. Judge Judy in all her wisdom saw throught the sell as a fraud! Needless to say the plantiff was awarded her money back, and the seller was then reported to the aurthorities for fraudulant sales! GO JUDGE JUDY!!!! It was a great episode!

That is messed up. Ive seen similar things but for the Box the item came in and what not. But my ad is not misleading and I'm selling exactly what I state. $450 is a bit high, but if they choose that option over the starting bid of $300 that's there choice.

Yep, eBay just messaged me that the guy that just did the Buy It Now price, had his account hacked and and someone else was using it to place false bids.

She only got the scammer because she used the specs for the phone and shipping weight

Yeah they have already done that. And now eBay just emailed me that the first person the choose the But It Now was a hacked account as well. Seems to be a lot of hacked accounts on eBay. People dont know how to secure themselves.

there are emails sent out to ebay users that is not from ebay, stating something about their acct, and takes them to a **** ebay lookalike web page and get people to login and then the scammers get the info for the account - all ****.
