thats pretty messed up if you ask me.......its a simple alignment problem.

so they buy you out where you were before you ever walked in, and then they sell it to someone else with out fixing it, hoping the next guy wont care??????
I told I'd think about it and get back to him.

That's what I was thinking but I have in writing from them that they would take car of any alignment issues upon my purchase. Sounds like they wanna get back and sell it to someone who doesn't know about cars.

thats where you have them!!!!!! in writing.

and you got paper work from every time you dropped it off too?

riddle me this please? if you have a rack at your shop, im guessing where you work...why not have it done there, and show up with a bill for the alignment at the dealer, and tell them its all fixed heres the bill.........i would think you would get a break on the price, if you work there, and get a bill for full price to give the dealer, cash in a bit if you can.

or call back and tell the owner you want another shop to look at it and fix it as they cant seem to do a simple alignment. and they should cover the bill. after all you do own it, not them.

fax him or email him that print out you have as well, as proof to their tech's incompetence.

^ good idea thats what I would do at this point in time..have your job fix it.. I'm sure it'll either be free or at a discounted rate. Ring the owner up tell and show him how much the bill is and charge him. Either he will pay it to avoid any future legal actions as well as getting rid of you lol and you can finally rest knowing issue Is fixed and be sure to tell all your friends, family, girlfriends, wife's etc not to do business with them

I told him I would have it fixed at my work but I wasn't gonna pay for it and there response was because the didn't have an account with us they weren't gonna pay for it and we don't get a break on labor rates so it would've cost me a $160. But then I began wondering seeing how the right was outta spec more then left that maybe the car was in an accident and it was never reported.

And you have the upper hand because you have it in writing if it comes down to legal action he's going to have to pay so I'm guessing its more of a bluff to try to avoid paying it but he can find away to pay it even if its just pulling out some money out of his pocket. If I was the dealer I would gladly give you $160 to end this situation.

if it was hit the rest of your front end would be out, way out. your just dealing with the toe. simple turn of the inner tire rods.

see if they have a account with firestone or another reputable shop with a computer alignment. if they will pay for it, id go anywhere but back to them.

i just got one from firestone, 80 bucks and a 6 month warranty, for 160 you get a life time warranty. you can go in every 6,000 miles to have it check or adjusted.

Firestone is where they took it in this last visit. I think there is more to this issue that they found and they don't want to spend the money on.
