Do it yourself and you will know why

To replace them, we put it on the lift. Take the wheels off. Remove the inner wheel lining (as this is the ONLY way to get to them, unless you want to take off the front bumper) and then pull the light and replace and then put it back together.

Its all labor and not cheap to do.

Already looked it up and I will do it myself. I had it in for something else and they saw it. i didn't take it to them to do it.

Ya well that is normal pricing for it, just labor intensive to get to them. The days of 2 bolts and the whole headlight comes out ended a few years ago. The Pontiac G6s are a pain to do as well. I know how now and I can fight one out in 10 mins but its scary the first time, you feel like your going to break the bumper or the headlight while fighting it out.

If you haven't already you may call them with the vin# and see if your acadia qualifies. There is a bulletin that will replace both headlight bulbs and the connectors for the low beams, they have issues with some just going out and burning up the connector in the process.

Add Malibu's to the list too... the whole damn bumper has to come off the car to replace a bulb. I dread when I need to tackle that job.

True, and this one was built like it was meant to be quickly.
