Its really not to common anymore. So yesterday I had dinner with my family at Olive Garden. My mom orders an appetizer and part of it was Stuffed Mushrooms. So the appetizer comes out and my mom immediately goes to grab the dish. And of course burns her finger really bad. Now if you know restaurants or cooking you know they cook the mushrooms in that dish and just set it on another dish to bring it out(a lot of people know that, but that's not general common knowledge so ok) So of course her finger blisters immediately and after dinner she asks for a manager and complains. But this is what gets me, her complaint was that the waitress didn't tell her it was hot. Now I understand they probably should say that. But common sense says that a dish just brought out of the kitchen to your table is gonna be hot!!
Now I've done stupid things and burned myself like when I touched my brake rotor right after driving the car. Now I know it was stupid and common sense would know its hot after driving the car but I didn't complain to the brake company cause there's no warning label about being hot, I did something stupid and now have to deal with the pain, but I'm not gonna complain to anyone.
And to top it off the manager had to make an incident report about it just in case my mom goes to the hospital. The manager told my mom that have whichever the company is for insurance and she immediately just starts complaining about how horrible that insurance company is and she wouldn't deal with them. So I asked her if she was gonna go to the Hospital and she said no. So then I tell her what does it matter then. And of course I'm the bad person for not seeing it her way.
But in the end they took her meal off the check and gave her a $75 gift card to come back.
I love my mom but shes so stubborn in her ways of thinking any way but her way is wrong.
Cliff Note:
Mom burned finger on hot dish right from the kitchen
Complains cause she wasn't warned it was hot.
