Why do some people drive everywhere with their brights on at night? I've even seen some newer cars driving around in the daytime with their brights on..

Did the insurance companies start offering another discount for the daytime running bright light mod?

More specifically, 9 out of every 10 newer Acura TL's driving around here in Arkansas has their brights on at night, no freaking joke. When I am driving with someone, I usually point everyone out to them and they are like ?

Yep, that is very annoying, unfortunately all it makes me want to do is go get even brighter lights to punish everyone that does that.

There! Now that I got that evilness off my chest I feel a whole lot better.

If I pass someone that has their brights on and they didn't dim their lights I make sure and get my brights on for them. Although I am sure they are really phased by the grand prix brights.

I'm going to buy some PIAA bulbs for my high beams/DRLs for the civic so I can win every high beam war. However, I've never been flashed with my HIDs.

Actually, the TL in that picture does NOT have his brights on... The inner lights are fog lights, not brights. If his brights were on, the inner lights will be off, becuase on the TL the fogs turn off when you click on the brights.

I happen to also own a TL in addition to my Grand Prix, so that's how I know. Whenever I drive the TL, every once in a while I'll get flashed... After I swapped out the fog bulbs with yellow bulbs, that stopped happening.

(And before anyone yells at me for driving with my fogs on, I need them to avoid hitting deer, becuase they are all over the place where I live)

Are you sure they are using their highbeams? My fog lights are much brighter than my regular headlights. I often get drivers that think I have my brights on flash their lights at me, so then, bam I nail the highs. That really aggravates them. You see them weave a little when the highs kick on.

Some guy saw my HIDs on and turned his on and kept driving towards me. So I turned my HID highs on. I didnt click it all the way either so all 4 lights stay on. Regal drivers know what Im talking about.

    4 HID bulbs FTMFW!!

    those are sweet

most people drive with brights on because to realize they left them on they'd have to look at their gauges, which obviously doesn't happen because then they would notice they are also driving 20 under the speedlimit with their left blinker on

My Regal and my old GP beeped at me if I left my blinker on for a certain amount of time. Try it sometime.

I love having HID Hi's and Lo's... just perfect to blind the hell out of somebody who has there brights on. Just wait till I add my HID fogs...

Heh. Here's real fun, try driving across the PA turnpike in a semi at night. So many a-holes leave their dam brights on, and because of the center divider walls, I get blinded by their brights, but they're low enough, they never see mine at all.
OTOH, on regular roads, my truck is great, the lows aren't great, but the highs are un-f***ing-believable. So when I flash the brights, they shock the hell out of people.

I'm seriously considering a 15,000,000candlepower spot in place of fogs on my PA.

I thought fog lights were supposed to be aimed low to the ground, not straight at other people's faces.

On a similar topic, I hate cars that use the high beam on lower voltage as a DRL. At dawn or dusk, when your eyes start adjusting to the low light but these people haven't yet turned their headlights on, their high beam DRL's aim right into my eyes.
