So I go out often to meet up with everyone else who has a "quick" car to hang out and race. But for the past few weeks no one will race me. It's so frustrating to just sit there sometimes, cuz I have a lot of fun with it, and now no one has the balls to race my sedan! Tonight I challenged a Z28 and he said sure but he wanted to wait. So I waited...then he just ditched. All I get when I ask if anyone wants to race is, "what do you drive?" I just tell em the black car. They walk over and then just say well maybe later. No more imports will race me anymore except for evo's and such. Did pretty good with one a few nights back though. Oh well, hopefully when I move home I'll get a chance with a fresh scene.
All I'm saying is, if your gonna get a car, dump money in it and just park it...get a better paint job or something, cuz that turbo ain't doing you anygood just sitting there!

I dump money in my car all the time, it's fast, but I don't ever race it either.

^^^same here, but i think i'm to the point that i want to stop dumping more money into it. well, maybe a LITTLE few more mods and that's it. i enjoy driving my car and be notice than trying to race everybody. since the monte carlo is not as popular as the grand prix i think my car is kind of unique in a way. i haven't see any monte around chicago that is cammed or with bullitt rims yet. i'm sure there's somebody out there that's all mod up like mine too, but so far most of the monte i saw are riding on 20"-22" rims. since i'm still paying paying for the car, i can't really beat on it. it prob can take the beating with all the upgrades i have, but i'm not going to take that chance. hey don't get me wrong i love street drag racing, but there's always a right time and place for that. beside i can't afford to get anymore ticket for the rest of the year. 8 hours of traffic school would be hell

LOL I've got a lot into my car and not only does it never race, it's never seen a track. Don't care either.

Probably a good thing you aren't racing, because your win/loss ratio is likely high than it would be otherwise.

You may realize some day that just sitting there may in fact save your life.

Bigger of the regulars maybe, but some saturdays there are some pretty powerful cars out, but they don't run much. I can't argue with the saving my life statement, but I'm 6 yrs. into this, and never been in or seen an accident except for bikes. Don't race in city streets, and never cross streets. StreetWolf...I don't have an issue with people that just put time and money in thier car for their own satisfaction and not race. It's the ones that come out and talk about how quick their car is, and will turn me down after talking about all thier imported from germany parts and then go off and race a partial built, non boosted civic to feel good about themselves.

+1. I havnt challanged anyone with the GTP because its at least a year from being ready but in my mustang I can hardly ever find a race if it is someone who knows me or the car.In fact thats a big part of the reason I bought the GTP and am selling the stang. That and the fact that with 10k in the completly built NA motor the thing cant break 400hp (only has 376rwp) or 12.5@109mph at new england dragway.

BTW I only race on the track or an industrial park at nite, with cars blocking any areas that someone could get in the way.
