    Not replacing, just *****ing. I'll just suffer without AC or heat (Hell, it gets down to like 40 at night during the coldest time of the year. I think I'll live).

    Blower motor is burnt up, or it's stuck? The one on my Regal kept locking up and I'd have to hit the bottom of the dash to get it unstuck. Eventually that didn't work anymore. There is a rubber tube on the bottom of it. I took it off sprayed some penetrating oil in there, got it unstuck and hasn't locked up since.
    SMGPFC #0330 - 3.25, Intercooled, Custom Tune, 1.84rr, LS6 Springs, roller timing chain, SLP Headers, Borla Exhaust, built Trans, B&M Trans Cooler, home cut poly uppers, gapless rings, N* TB, Ported heads.
    Soontocome: CAM?, Custom modified M112, home poured Poly Engine and Trans mounts

    Are you sure your cowl is not leaking rainwater? A leaking cowl allows water directly into the blower motor.

    It actually is the cowl. I did however fix that permanently and I check it often. I had it slip and start dumping water in my passenger floorboard this past winter. I would have to swap the resistor too, but the climate down here isn't bad enough to make me want to do it. The hottest days it's like 93 or something. There's always a breeze too. Sure if I ever sell the car (which I don't plan to do, but you never know) I'll swap both prior.

    UPDATE: Thing kicked back on today. Actually I haven't tried it in like a week, so it could have kicked on earlier than that. Lady luck shines on me for at least a day.

    I was under the dash all freaking afternoon... and still, no beans.

    So basically my 04 GT2 has the same issue as any other GP - the stupid windshield cowl piece let water in, and I never put two and two together until I read more about this issue online. Now I know, it's just a $3 piece of plastic you can get from your local GM dealership's parts counter. Let me know if anyone needs the exact part number, I'll look it up for you.

    Anyway, driving down the highway one day I'm like "what's that nasty burnt plastic/electrical smell!?" turns out smoke is billowing out of the vents and then finally stopped 5 minutes later. After concluding my car wasn't actually on fire, and once I got back home, I pulled the blower motor, and ordered the new one online from rockauto. Today I replaced everything, even a new cabin air filter from the local NAPA (to get rid of the nasty smoke smell), febreezed the whole damn car, and even installed the new part that GM released in a TSB service bulletin to properly drain the rain water away from the airbox.

    So everything's back together... my fuses look fine. What else could it be? Does anyone know how I can check the resistor? Mine has obviously already been replaced or messed with when the previous owner had the car, because it didn't have the rivets. these were cracked off, and the other two screw holes were being used with screws in them.

    Has this ever happened to anybody else?

    to update... I just found this pink square fuse burnt. labeled #30 BATT MAIN

    I swapped it with the one next to it, and low and behold - the motor starts blowing... with the car off!! That means I do need a damn resistor, I guess. There goes another $50-100.
