Damn the Dealership is stupid!!!

this is the kind of work you can expect from a dealership.

this was my transfer case from my 03 gmc, it went in for a trans and rear end rebuild under warranty, i look to see all the new parts, and see this patch on the t case, i flipped out, and i called GM, reported them in every way, i did get a new transfer case out of them too.



talk about good enough for government work....oh it did leak.

yes sir, that is the area where a hub lives, it slaps back and forth when you go forward and reverse, over time they crack, but that is how they do repairs at my dealership, slap some epoxy on it and call it a sunny day.

now if they said hey look we found this, but the parts wont be in till X, but we patched it up till the parts come in, i would have been fine with it but they didn't say dick! that was a completed repair to them, under warranty too. nice job boys!

Just curious. Why didn't you measure the S/C pulley before even purchasing?

Never really occurred to me that when buying from a reputable dealership that I would need to check such things, I assumed they would ensure the car was stock. The car looked mechanically and visually stock except for the wheels (and the spo silver grills, but I didnt know what those were at the time so I assumed they were stock)
