Only car worth modifying is a Corvette.

If you are poor then buy an ugly ass C4 Corvette and put a huge turbo on. Go fast and corner like hell while having a sleeper.

I like the look of those 90's 240's. And there is a guy in Sturgis selling an old Datsun 240z but im pretty sure he wants to much for it.

real answer for this thread: nothing in your price range is worth buying so save your money for fat bags of dank and buying your girlfriend some liquor to get her to take her panties off.

I bought a pretty recent issue of super street that I think could help you out pretty good. I'll just sum up the article for you real quick.

Top 10 project cars for under $10k
    1. 84-87 toyota Corolla- $2500-4500 motor swaps, plenty of support, rwd
    2. 89-98 Nissan 240sx- $1200-5000 tons of options
    3. 89-96 DSM (Eclipse/Talon)- $2200-5500 possible factory turbo/awd, lots of support
    4. 92-94 Honda Civic- $400-4000 self explanatory
    5. 90-97 Mazda Miata- $2000-5500 rwd, light, autocross car
    6. 94-01 Acura Integra- $2500-7500 motor swaps, donor car for civic projects
    7. 92-96 Lexus sc300/400- $3000-7000 thought this was interesting. inline 6 225hp. some have a v8 250hp, rwd, 2JZ-GTE swap(supra engine)
    8. 04-06 Scion xB- $7000-10000 not fast, but cool to customize
    9. 02-04 Subaru WRX- $7500-10000 factory turbo, awd, sti swap
    10. 90-96 Nissan 300ZX- $4000-8500 factory turbo/twin turbo, lots of support

some of them are on the edge of your price range probably, but if i were you, i'd just buy this magazine cause i left out a lot of details. I personally think all of these cars are pretty cool especially the corolla, wrx, and 300zx. Its the august 2011 issue with a blue s15 silvia on the front. Or maybe the article is online somewhere
