Re: Spelling and the English Language (Ever heard of it?)
An older thread, but the situations no better today, it's even worse. WAY to many acronyms being used in posts. To me, texting is stupid and a waste of time. (most) people who text, need to grow up. Text speak = punks. No need to drive with the hood of your "hoodie" up while in the car, and texting while driving is even more stupid. Here's one.....G.T.F.U.
Re: Spelling and the English Language (Ever heard of it?)
I text while street racing.
What now.
Re: Spelling and the English Language (Ever heard of it?)
I heard recently a new law was passed for people who are caught texting in the Philadelphia city limits will get a substantial fine. Good.
Re: Spelling and the English Language (Ever heard of it?)
Geddy your just getting old :D ! I agree some what! There is a time and place for it. Most people don't have a full keyboard on there phone so its easier to put in "u" or "2". I do however have a HUGE problem of them saying "WTF" or "OMG" out loud! Kaylin said "OMG" yesterday and I quickly corrected her! And to the person above me..Arkansas passed a law if you get caught texting while driving its a HUGE fine!
Re: Spelling and the English Language (Ever heard of it?)

Yeah It does get pretty annoying. I will use some short cuts, but at least I can be fully understood the first time.
Re: Spelling and the English Language (Ever heard of it?)
i'm just not the greatest speller so sometimes it might seem like short hand but its just a fail of long hang
Re: Spelling and the English Language (Ever heard of it?)
$500 fine here for touching any portable device with a screen on it while driving.
CB radios soon to be banned as well because they're not "hands-free".
Liberals AND conservatives in Ontario = fail. Even more-so the voters.
