I think the car uses a VW L4 engine. Which I agree it sucks. I saw some pictures of it and it even wasn't the turbo version of it. As for the design, I first thought it was a Lotus Elise from the front.
I think it's a good start for a concept, but not if they plan to produce it as it is.

Ahh good day all... Ok first... It's powered by a Ford Focus inline 4 from a few years ago... Second, It's a stale body from a lotus concept... Third, And I think this is important, it brags about having rack and pinion steering... That car is an 03 focus with 03 looks and 03 performance for 60 large...
Now on to the gits... I mean brits... James May simply didn't know the name of the car and said the only spanish word he's ever heard in his life and started laughing... Then they bashed some people... If you're upset that someone you never heard of from a place you don't live thinks your culture is lame, and they display that by ripping on you for upwards of 30 seconds, i've got bad news for you...

It's part of what makes Top Gear a great show, they make fun of something to make TV and to criticize it if they don't like it. Even when Top Gear likes something they still poke fun at where/who built it. The BBC is always catching flak for the Top Gear hosts saying what they will and they never apologize for any of it, keep it that way.
Everyone takes things way to seriously now a days and you aren't allowed to piss anyone off, get some thick skin.

This is completely unrelated, these issues are indeed of greater impact and importance, but that doesn't mean that you have to stop whatever you're doing and start taking action on these things.

Its wasn't as bad I a thought it was going to be, and just like everyone says top gear talks about every country in some type of sterotypical way. Couple of examples
When they tested the ZRI, CTS-V, and the Challenger Jeremy said:
"This car was built by two fat blokes in Kentucky, name Burt and Bob"
They always call America overweight and burger munchers.
They called the Ranger Rover a car driven by a Drug Dealer.
There are several other car comments on Top Gear that were quite offensive, but its still one of my favorite shows. Also remember this, they are in a different country so the information they get about different countries then theirs are probably negative or stereotypical. Just my .02 cents

And they've insulted v8 mustang owners way more then any mexican IMO. Remember when they tested a V6 S197, but said it was a V8 LOL....I personally would rather be a fat ass with a V8. Granted this isn't an actual top gear episode, it's obviously got Jeremy Clarkson.
