So on the 27th of december around 3 am, i was driving home in the right lane. This olc chrysler 300 turned right, right in front of me and I hit his passengers side quarter panel. Even worse the guy took off and I wasnt able to catch up to him. So I use the uninsured protection to get it fixed and now I have my car back..... with some problems. The gaps under the lights and on top of the bumper are big and very noticible. They broke the trim by shifter and my remote start sets of the alarm

So now I have this weird looking car and I noticed that the my quarter panel was slightly slightly bent but c'mon they werent proffesional.
I took it today and told them what was up and told them everything I just wrote. The guy tells me to take it monday morning so that he can install the trim piece and check the fuses for the remote start. Isn't that a bunch of crap tho? that would be a BCM problem correct?

So now I'm hoping these people can actually fix it instead of saying "well thats how the bumper is".

Wish me luck here are some damage pics and I'll post what it looks like now tomorrow.

Do you have any pics of the damaged area before the accident? I don't know if it would help, but it may get your insurence company to reopen your claim to get it fully repaired. Instead of the halfass job it sounds like you got.

Keep on your insurance company until they make it right.

You could request that a different shop repair the stuff that the first place left behind.

I have some but not in detail, it could help if someone posts a pic of how the bumper and light should meet so they can see what its supposed to look like

Maybe it was that 300c guy that was trolling on here. On a side not that sucks. I would've chased him down and ripped him a new one but then again, that's just me.

I'm sorry that happened, I don't know what legal actions you can take but that's unacceptable. Whoever repaired the car should fix it properly, get the invoices together and call a lawyer to see what can be done.

I do auto collision work and the motto for the entire industry is to "repair cars to their original state/oem" It actually sounds like you just went to an awful body shop. the gaps are from not reinstalling the panels correctly(if its a fender) or they didnt pull the frame properly(if its the quarter. hard to say without looking at it. anything mechanical should be repaired by them as well. You cant really go after the insurance company. You can drill the shop about the gaps and what sounds like shister body work, any further problems or charges drill the insurance company about

did the ins pay the shop directly? or did they pay you? did the ins company recommend the shop?

*keep in mind theres only a handful of body techs in the nation that can actually restore things to absolutly perfect gaps/oem, theres always a little something that shows.
