no it wasnt but a 2jz swap is doable. i dont really care for the supra anymore. yeah its awesome but its almost overdone. its almost as bad as a mustang. do a different import.if you search right you can find a handful of r32 and 33 skylines for around 20grand. theres a r32 2wd turbo for 18g in my area. or maybe go buy a rwd import and throw a v8 in. do something different. there are a lot of truck guys in my area but a few of them have toyota and nissan trucks that have swapped 2jz and sr20 motors in them and one has an rb25. this is impressive in my book even if they arent 10 sec cars.

Have fun with an import considering all their problems as of late, What are you looking for in a new car? Big deal if others like the Supra, I dont like driving what everyone else has. Find something different, and X2 on the GTO. Funny people drool over a LS2 GTO but most dont consider a LS1 GTO and they can be had cheap!!

The 05 and 06 are considerably better than the 04's though. 04 can be had for cheaper but the little bit more you pay for the 05/06 model is worth it in my opinion. Again though, I just had to sink almost $2k into this car right off the lot to fix all the problems GM/Holden didn't adress after the 04 model.

Awesome car, though, just not a cheap one. However, I like it 1000x more than my 98 C5 Vette I had... as crazy as it sounds.

I already posted most of this in the "done with pontiac" thread.

But I'm really impressed with the specs on the new Hyundai/Kia 2.0 liter turbo motor - 274hp, 269tq, 34mpg hwy.

My '01 GTP still looks/feels/drives great so I'll be keeping it for at least another 2-3 years and buying a used 2011 Kia Optima SX.

I really like all the "toys" in the car like the cooled front seats. I would just love to leave the gym or work and not have my back sweating on the hot seat.

    How about the new regal?

There should be quite a bit of aftermarket considering it has the 2.0 turbo ecotec.
