    T5's suck, even when built.

Just swap in a T56 and forget about it.

^ That, even a WC T-5 is sketchy. Although, T-56s haven't proven to be completely bulletproof... I'm on the 14th, and the car has 14K miles.

Even a WC T-5 will fall apart after one summer of hard launches.

    GM Wouldn't put a T5 behind the 80's 350 for this reason.

    no and yes.

But why in gods name would you want a T5?

Also, those are both for RWD applications....

The T56 has been put behind a 3800 a couple of times that I've seen, T5s are garbage but the easiest to do, even some of the bolt-ons 3800 f-body guys are blowing up the T5.

T56's are all BOP whereas the series II is the 60*.

the old RWD 3800's are BOP, but even the modern series II 3800 in the F body was 60*

If you're getting a 7MGTE MK3 supra, then you better take the valve covers off and tighten the head bolts down to 72 ft. lbs. right away if it hasn't had a head gasket job done. If you do that, then you can do basic BPU's with it (3" turbo back, intake, hardpipes, IC) and up the boost a little and be fine on the stock head gasket. That combination above at 12 lbs. of boost on a stock trim turbo will put you around 350 HP and gobs of torque for quite a bit less than what it would take to get a GP there, and it will be reliable as well
2005 GTP - AL 605's gapped at .055", SD headers, WAI with 9" cone air filter, 180 degree t-stat, green coolant, otherwise stock.
