So last weekend I was taking the family to Kansas City for a mini vacation. We were driving the prix, told my wife help me keep the speed
Cruising down the very boring 169 hwy when these lights FLY up on me, I think this dude is going to get pulled over! All the sudden these lights start flashing, its a hi-po! Im thinking WTH! I wasnt speeding. He pulls me over and approaches the car and ask if my exhaust was stock or modified?
I told him it was modified, he informed me that I wasnt supposed to do that!?? 15 min. later he gave me a written warning and said "typically you cant modify your exhaust for sound"! I was like ok? Has anyone else been pulled over for this? I know in places like Cali. you can but this is Oklahoma, the diesels are louder stock than my car!

He was out of his car he had some one pulled over on the other side of the road and I had my cruise set so the drone from the exhaust was noticable. If he werent out of the car I dont think he would have heard it.

That was merely an EXCUSE to check your license and insurance. Oklahoma cops do it to me and my friends all the time. There are tons of 50state legal aftermarket "loudmouth" if you will exhaust systems, they can't ticket it unless its a disturbing the peace violation, or an emissions violation (that would require testing equip that they usually don't carry in the cars)

Any exhaust other than stock is illegal EVERYWHERE, it is a law FYI. But we all do it anyways who cares
