You guys keep saying thunderbird, do you mean firebird?
Never heard of a firebird SC. Heard of a thunderbird SC with a 3.8 L and Super Charger M90 starting way back in 1989 before GM knew they existed. :-0
Two words... Grand National. :D
Didn't get fun till the 80's :)
i say screw RWD too...once you go AWD you never go back (unless youre an idiot like me).
i got an 01 mustang gt now and man can this thing take corners like a champ and its so smooth while doing it as well. miss the gtp kinda tho sometimes.
There are a few of those running around the web with good results, none from the two M90 cars that I know of yet.
who wants an L67 firebird though? that's just selling yourself short
no... just turbo it already.
They dont have junky tranny's like we do and thats basically all that holds most people back from going turbo.
that and reliability combined with cost apparently.
just found a 98-ish firebird body on craigslist for 800. had a hood that didn't match and a dicked up front clip but it's a good starting point for a build like that.

R.I.P.
If you go back to the 57 TBird you will find some of the 352s had turbos on them. Actually liked the 55 Oldsmobile Rocket with the 303 that had auto dimming headlights.
I'm with Matt, get some sway bars. And revel in the fact that you don't need to replace your control arms to do that.
