ok so i finally get my car back yesterday from the shop, never again will i use them they replaced my fuel pump and cps which i could have done myself if i would have had the time but since i didn't i tried trusting someone a few things.
    1. They didn't even put my FWI back on it was just sitting under they hood
    2. They didn't put the pcm back where it belongs
    3. They didn't tell me i had a coolant leak(which i have already fixed)
    4. I now have an oil leak, which i didn't have before i took it in

All i can say is when will you ever be able to trust shops i have a feeling that that won't happen for long time, i am just pissed about all these things that they didn't do, and i just had to vent somewhere about this so for all you people in the St. Louis Area never take your car to " Oakville Auto" it is off Telegraph right by Sappington Barracks no i am off to go see what they messed with so that i would HAVE to bring it back,as long as the rain holds off, to bad for them i know how to fix my own stuff.

I hear ya there man! I have never been to that store. I usually do most of the work myself, or I try to recruit a few of the St. Louis guys to help with with things. The only place I have had work done on my car has been at the Car X on Tesson Ferry near Lindbergh and Richie's over in Sunset Hills. Those are the only two places that understand modified cars and actually treat them with respect.

I hope it all works out my friend!

the only time you can trust a shop is when you own it. I also prefer the way Michigan deals with shops and mechanics, both are required to be licensed by the state, if you get your car back without it being fixed they can't charge except a diagnostic fee (that must be the same for all customers and clearly defined before work is performed)

Im am about the same, I do most of the work myself and if its something I cant or dont know how to do, then I would first enlist the help of local members or the GP community. At least they would understand the modified aspect and would have a tendency to treat things with a bit more respect.

sorry to hear about your car... i hear ya on the shops... I took my car to my local dealer for my VC gaskets... and it now it is actually leaking onto my driveway from a different leak... you can never win.

also, just curious... what is a cps?

Sorry to hear that. I had some bad experiences with shops when I was younger. More with dealerships for warranty work. Trust no one!

well here is the break down of what is going to happen i am taking it back up there going to tell them that i'm not a freaking idiot i know how these companies run, i know about cars, and also i know it didn't leak before you guys took it, and that the fix better be free, then my sister told me i look like one of those kids that is always in trouble so i should threaten them with a " or i can call my lawyer and we can settle it that way"

i remebered we had a bad experiece with a shop. my father took his honda to a shop that was supposely to check for tune up. the guy told him to come back about 2 hours. i took my father to get his car after 2 hours later cause he had to go to work. when we got there the shop son was there. my father asked if his car was done? the son said his father went to lunch. my father told him he have to get to work and need his car now done or not. we went to the back yard to get the car, but the car was not there. my father was pissed and told the son to call his father. to make a long story short about 20 minutes later here come this jack off with my father's car. he was was joy riding my father's honda during his lunch break and never even looked at the car if it need tune up, although he said he did.
