I have to vent on this one. I posted in the L67 section about my night. More details there. Long story short I bought some polished dogbones from 3800, then some poly bushings from intense, I picked up my gracket from the chromer. When I pressed the dogbone into the bracket SNAP, the bracket busted. Pics are in the other thread. The poly bushings are quite a bit wider then the stock. I guess it was too much? I was wondering if anyone else has installed these bushings.

Those mounts are just junk. Alot of people break them, do a search on ClubGP. I broke one a few weeks ago for the first time. Its nothing to do with the mounts I bet, I run MSP Poly round mounts for my RAT dogbones.

If I were you, i'd get another mount, paint it black and call it a day. I would waste any time and money polishing or chroming it. I bought mine at a local yard for $7.50 off a 97 GT... after 3 coats of gloss black all is good now...

Yeah, I thought the same. Looks like cheap grade aluminum. I bought a replacement cheap and buffed it on my bench wheel. Looks ok and if it breaks again I am not out chroming fees.
