Ok, i went to work last night(which was a pain in the A$$!!! because kids through mud all over the walls) and i was driving to take garbage up to dump(about 1/4 mile driveway, cealcoated road with pee gravel on it). Keep in mind i dont' drive over 20 on this road because i don't want to through rocks on my already beaten paint. Ok while i was driving i heard a grinding noise like a muffeler droped. So i was like ok i knew my resinator was rusted but not bad enough to drop. I got out looked all under my car(the engine is off at this point because idk wut is was). I see nothing. So i say wut the hell, i look on the ground for a piece of metel i've run over and nothing. So i check the CVC joints(i think that's wut their called) to see if somethings effed up with those, nothing. I get back in, stat, put in drive, and the noise again. So i leave the engine on, pop the hood look to see if anyting's rubing or messing withthe belts, look under the car, i can't find anyting. I got back in drive slowly and i can't get it to make the noise. I drove home with no problems. Oh i forgot to mention that when the noise was made the car had already been on for 10 minutes. And when i first got in it, i reversed, drive, went got trash, then took off and when i did, it went in drive i gave it gas, and thin a little lerch forward like it had just gone in drive. IDK wut that means but i tought i'd mention it. Please help if you can. I put this here because idk wut the problem is caused by and it really pissed me off so i'm blowing off steam.

When you hear the noise does it get louder/faster the faster you go or the higher your rpm's go? Can you duplcate the sound in reverse and in drive? Are there any vibrations with the noise or just a noise?

    Sounds weird.

Mine makes a loud clanking noise because my a/c bearing is shot.

    But you don't got a/c
