I'm currently eighteen, for almost two years now I've wanted a camaro. When the time came for me to get a new car my parents said that wasn't possible beacause it's rwd, and the winters around here are harsh and we live on a mt. So in winter I wouldn't make it home. Crushed, I searched for a new dream car. One day I passed a grand prix on the way home and fell in love I did some reasearch and found it was perfect. Well fast forward two months and I have a silver gt coupe sittin in my driveway. I was sooo happy, had 43000 miles and a clean carfax. Perfect right? Wrong. First day I have it the god damn engine blows... The asshole who had it last took off the oil pan, like who does that? Anyways I've left carless and sad for five days, my mechanic found a 3800 from an impala to drop in...82000 miles but it was cheap. Oh well. Two days later the car is leaking oil.. Valvecovers were messed up. Another day without my car. Things were good then for about a week until one day, I get in the car to go to work and she won't start, no grindin or nothin. Starter went, another day without the car. I'm thinkin of sellin it soon, it's not worth the headaches... But if it sells I can get a gtp =D

140k on these cars really isnt that bad, i had a old bonneville withe 3.8 back in the day that had way over 200k on it. i didnt maintain it very well and it still ran really good when i sold it.

I bought my 1997 grand prix gt for 1750$... was going for 4800$ but I've got some pretty decent connections.

I dished 7000$ into just maintaining the veh before letting it slowly die and selling it for $1000 as is(which it was NOT worth, but if a shmuck will offer to pay it, I'll take it) haha

moral of the story. some people just have bad luck... but you still gotta love your car. I took that 1000$ and put it as a down deposit on an 04 grand prix, didn't even look at another car. haha

I'd still rather a GTP.... F insurance companies over charging.
I already pay 360$ a month to drive this thing with the bare minimum legal cvrg + fire and theft. haha

I've gone to three different brokers, they all pointed me to this company haha.
Trust me, I don't pay this much by choice, I pay this because I need insurance to drive. haha.

I'm a 20 year old MALE driving a 2004 Grand Prix GT. Apparently that's enough of a reason to make me pay more on insurance than I do to own the car. lol

If everythings fixed don't sell it for a GTP, do a topswap.
A GT with a topswap/supercharger is actually more powerful then a GTP and a topswap will cost you less then paying the difference on buying the GTP.
    1998 GP GT - Topswap - Ported M90 - N* - 4" FWI - Poly Mounts - 3" DP - 180 Tstat - Alt. Rewire - 3.29 gearing - Full Exhaust - Custom Tune
