    I remember that picture.

Let me ask you guy's something. Why are big rims hated on cars. But big tires and lifted trucks are not?

Why does everyone do that? I just don't understand it. It's just different taste.

Personally I will never put over a 17 or 18 inch rim on anything I own and I love lifter trucks. But that's just to let you guy's know where i'm standing in this whole thing.

From a purely aesthetic standpoint, no one could possibly think 20" rims or above looks good on ANY car. I mean, come on. The thing literally looks like a wagon, or carriage that's missing its horses. What people with such cars subconsciously mean to say when they tell you "it's my taste" is that it's the taste of the month for the area they reside in. Basically, more puppets following a temporary trend instead of developing, or allowing their own tastes to come through.
These forums are for anyone with a grand prix that would like to mod their car yet people like this are constantly bashing those of us that do have 20s. This whole quote... B.s. I like my rims because THEY LOOK GOOD not because people in society like big rims. Every other thread on this site, I have to defend the fact that I like 20s. Still think I did it because everyone likes 20s? That's honestly the dumbest shiv I've heard on this forum yet. Sorry man, but this is ridiculous and you need to think before you talk on these forums.

ps. In my area, big rims are not popular. Ricers with little rims and tires are the trend. have been for 4 or 5 years. Tell me I have these rims to be like everyone else?

me personally i think 20's look good a GP if ur goin for looks.IMO if u have anything over 18 in wheels and are goin for speed horsepower etc etc anything over a 18 in rim is gonna cause problems in the end.

My thing isnt just about 20"s its when they-(anyone who does this) have to lift the crap out of a good car and keep going bigger example YouTube - Monte Carlo SS on 28's
YouTube - Drag Racing in the Dirty South

Now in this vid i can at least say some of them dont look as ridiculous and can appriciate the work that goes into them
YouTube - Lake Front Tour 09 and free stuff

I edited his post. And I removed the comment from your quote as well. Hope you dont mind.

I understand what you are saying, unfortuately it is "stereotyped" to two ethnic groups unfortuately, but don't worry, there are plenty of other people, including white folks, who know how to screw up their rides quite nicely with junk like this

Hey Big I edited your quote as well. I hope you dont mind. Some people just don't know when to stfu I guess. I think we both know unfortuately what he was referring to As I stated in a post above this, all ethnic groups know how to F*up a car! Everyone just has their special way I suppose.

I could give a ton of different stereotypes on that topic, but we don't need to go there lol. It would take forever to list them ALL!

coming from someone who owns 20" rims on their GP I must say I LOVE MY 20's. I'm going for appearance on this car, if i wanted performance of course I would have 18's but thats not what i'm modding my car into, no need to void my warrenty with "go fast" parts.

out of all honestly, 20's are the perfect size, now an escalade on 26's is a site too see, how can you not like that? I admit some car modders take it to the extreme with the lift kits but rims are an attractive visual mod that is an easy way to show $$ put into your car...sound stupid? not to some people. By far I must admit, I think my car is very attractive and isan't "overdone". Some will agree, some will disagree, my point is everythings opnionated, I think thats acceptable in alot of posts. but somewhat Yes, I do think its overdone when u start cutting into the fenderwall to clear the tires. old skool cars with rims...nah looks good, that SS above is godly beatiful...

Before rims ( only mod was tint ):

after rims, (tint, grille, chrome pillars):

    2011 Honda Civic EX-L - Leather/Sunroof/LOADED!
2009 Saturn Aura XE - I got shift paddles!!!
'98 Olds Cutlass - Good, Dependable
'06 GP GT S/C - Traded it in

Its ok to edit my post, I shouldn't have replied that way. It wasn't that serious.
    Thx for clearing that up.

Tdc made a good point. What's the difference in 26 in rim with little tire, than a 15" rim with huge tires. People like what they like. Sometimes it is all about " look at me! Pay me attention" but some people just like the look. Imo that's not my style. Id rather have the clean car that's a beast and can leave rubber on the pavement. That's just me. It just pisses me off when I see a car struggling to go up a hill, but is shining with 26" rims. That's just annoying. Lol.

I'm all about thinking, self-introspection and analyzing, which in turn leads to ideas and realizations that are not of the norm. That's why my opinions and perceptions are usually unorthodox, thus, are often not accepted. This doesn't make them any less truthful, nor does your inability or refusal to see or understand them. Yes, I do still 100% believe your opinions are being subconsciously fed to you (just as most people's opinions on most subjects are), but I'm not going to go off on a tangent with an elaborate explanation of how this happens in this thread, as it would be way off topic. I'll leave that discussion for when I finish typing my "matrix world philosophy".

Personally I think donks are ugly and cars with anything bigger than 20s don't look good to me but I'll say something...

I'd rather have donks rolling all over the place than Ricers! Those Civics with farts cans, erector set wings, jap writting, and cheap looking body kits look and sound even worse IMO.

With that said, I'd rather have 3 sisters working in a whore house than to have one brother thats a ricer......
