Flip does top notch work. He did my fog lights and I love them.
ahhhh thanks!! haha. I wish I went with the diamond pattern mesh. I switched those out back to my stock ones. My whole black and white thing i got goin' on kind of makes someone think what the hell when they see aluminum grilles. I'll sell those top ones if anyone is interested.
the grilles arent bad. i would paint them black
^^^I thought exactly what you though and went through with painting them gloss black. It looked okay but the stock honeycombs definitely looked a lot better. The brushed aluminum would look good on a prix that is not white. I'm gonna sand the paint off of them and polish then sell'em on craigslist. i'll keep the painted lower grilles though.
I am also into model trains, custom painting cars and engines. They was a product that was safe to use on plastic that was use to strip off old paint, I can't think of the name right now but it should be available in a good hobby shop/train shop. We also used brake fluid, but it would some time attack the plastic, crazed it like a orange peel finish, so test it in a unconspious area.
Ilike the grill inserts and the tail light too as is! I see some mods happening on my GP GT.
