Long read in my mind, please bear with me
Well, here's my story. I'm a volunteer firefighter. I also peddle seafood (Not much else to do in Maine). On March 1st at about 5PM, my pager goes off for a chimney fire. So I leave the house thinking, ha we'll just take the ladder truck, use the chimney brushes, clean up and go home.... Yeah right. We get to the house and sure enough the fire got up into the walls in the attic and the basement. Next thing I know, me and my buddy end up on the ground. He hurt his knee and I fell flat on my airpack (Please note that we had a blizzard that day that dropped 10 inches of snow, and when the fire started the other foot of snow was falling on us). Needless to say I ended up in the back of an ambulance strapped to a back board, with a neck brace on. Not pleasant. I ended up injuring my hip which was knocked out of alignment from the bottom bracket on the airpack, strained my back as well as hurting my neck.
So I filed a claim with workmans compensation and they pretty much told me that they couldn't count my seafood selling and that they could only count the volunteer pay. So right now instead of making $400-$600 a week I'm getting paid $8.13 a week and can't do anything else. To make matters worse my wife's P.O.S. Alero is crapping out. So I figure I better start on fixing my GTP. I thought it was as simple as changing some gaskets and rebuilding my supercharger. Once again I was way wrong. Found chipped pistons and everything else that could go wrong, went wrong. Now I'm faced with doing a complete rebuild and no one wants to work with me with paying for the parts when I have the money. But hey what can you do. Just my little rant of the day.
