    Okay, This is FORSURE A rant!!! I will try to keep it short! I have had cable internet for over a year. Due to some "relationship" problems it was changed from his name to my name. He had to take back the modem we used for over a year. I went in and they gave me a used one. Well!!!! When I want to get on XBOX Live I just unplug the ethernet wire in the back and plug in the Xbox one. I have done this for over a year! When I want to get on the pc I do the same. I know I know buy a router. Well I did that about 2 days AFTER I got the used modem and it would not connect to my pc. It said "Local Cable Unplugged" well I checked to make sure it was plugged up and it was...still wouldnt work. So I unplugged the power cord and waited and plugged it back in...It connected..fo about 3 min and then said the same thing!!! It did this for about 10 min then it finally stayed connected! Well then it started doing it to the Xbox. I called the cable company and the man said to get new ethernet cords so I did...well about 4 days later it did it again!!!I called the cable company and they sent me to Tech Support Level 2. The man said its because the xbox has its own "number" and the pc. I asked him if that was the case why it NEVER did it before?! He said he had no clue but he is sure it did I just didnt notice it! Well so he told me from now on to turn the power off then plug it up let it wait then turn it on and it should work! Well it didnt!!! So I called back about 2 days later! Well they said they would send someone out. I got a call at 4:42 friday saying a tech was on his way...8:00pm and NO ONE shows up! Its getting to the point that it will be on for about 8hours then just disconnect! Well I called again this morning and they said the same crap!!! We will send someone out! I finally was like NO! Take this modem and shove it! The guy brought up o you will owe 200 for not going for your full two years and blah blah. Well I told him I would OWE it but would not pay it! I have had this service for over a year and NEVER had a problem you give me a crappy modem and I have had a problem from day one! You will not send someone out here to give me a new modem but I be damn If im late someone would be here in a heartbeat to cut it off! Well he sent me to his manger and his manger told me to DRIVE to the MAINoffice and get a new one! I was like ?!?!?! You want me to do your techs job?!?!?! Anyways...I ended up cussin out the manger and his boss and went to the main office and cussed out another lady who got smart with me! I did get a new modem! I guess a ruff draft I made atleast 17 calls and was told 4 times someone would come out here!!! Those are just some main convos I remember. Was I wrong for getting mad?

    Meh they are all adults, they can take it . I cursed out a guy a circuit city, that was fun but i did get my way. It seems to me the only way to get what you want when you want it is if you act a total a-hole to whoever is ring master of the circus. You were dic*ed around for a while, To me you had every right to get mad, and look you got your way too . Good job

    O update! A service guy game out here today!! Like around 5ish. I was like can i help you?! You said you have a problem with your service I said nope I did your job and fixed it and shut the door on him lol

    Good job on handling that. Sounds like you have the same cable company as me. Gone rounds with them many of times. Always seem to get a discount on my next bill too.

    Ya, Well ANOTHER tech came by today! LOL I guess all the times I called they are just now getting them or something lol I was like rmm..nooo wrong apartment..he was like rmm read my addy and im like Nope...I didnt call...LOL I hope they keep sending them! LOL

    Nice!! I reamed out or told off someone from my OLD phone company every few days... I even made one lady cry...HAHAHA Maby I'm a d*ck! but it is the only way things get done with any company that puts you on a "contract" (meaning.. you pay and we give you sh*tty service!)

    Your fine... that wouldn't happen to be Time Warner Cable, Adelphia, or Comcast, would they? Cause I've got a list with them up the WA-ZOO!!!! Including the part where they told me "we're responsible for getting the internet from the pole, to your apt building, your responsible for getting it from your basement to your apt." I said WHAT?! You mean to tell me I get charged over $140. a Month just to have you tell me that I gotta run out to best buy, purchase a over 200Ft long Cat 6 Ethernet cord, to run from the basement of my building through the outside apt window to my computer, cause thats the ONLY way it'd get up here? (minus a few cusses) The lady was speechless... so I threw in.. well... least in a fire, i'd have a prefab escape rope...

    ah... good times...

    Lmao, sounds like me. I have comcast and ever since more people started getting the cable internet in my neighborhood, service started getting really bad. I b*tched and complained so many times, got so many discounts, and one day eventualy had 3 line techs, plus the line tech trainer from chicago, and 2 service techs here in one day. I b*tched so much they replaced the lines outside. From the start of my block, all the way down the road *and this is a very long road lol*. Not to mention I got my neighbors 25% off on their bills as well, and all the work they did that day wasn't cheap. Trust me. My neighbors think that i'm sleeping with someone high up, one time I had the water company, electric company, telephone company, and cable company at my house doing repairs, at the same time. After a massive storm we had. lol.

    My internet provider has always provided bad service, it gets slow, cuts out, wont work with my router. Ive called and had them replace the modem, they even sent out a tech to my house once (moron couldn't even type). After I had tried everything to get them to give me the service that I'm paying them for, I quit paying them (I have a contract and they wont listen if you say you want it shut off). The idiots sent me a notice saying that my service is terminated for non-payment... several months ago. It still works though. So now I have free internet, which is about what this service is worth.

    I've had cable internet for quite awhile now...had trouble with EVERY kind of modem they have except the Motorola brand. If this one breaks I'd ask for one of those if they offer it.
