Okay, This is FORSURE A rant!!! I will try to keep it short! I have had cable internet for over a year. Due to some "relationship" problems it was changed from his name to my name. He had to take back the modem we used for over a year. I went in and they gave me a used one. Well!!!! When I want to get on XBOX Live I just unplug the ethernet wire in the back and plug in the Xbox one. I have done this for over a year! When I want to get on the pc I do the same. I know I know buy a router. Well I did that about 2 days AFTER I got the used modem and it would not connect to my pc. It said "Local Cable Unplugged" well I checked to make sure it was plugged up and it was...still wouldnt work. So I unplugged the power cord and waited and plugged it back in...It connected..fo about 3 min and then said the same thing!!! It did this for about 10 min then it finally stayed connected! Well then it started doing it to the Xbox. I called the cable company and the man said to get new ethernet cords so I did...well about 4 days later it did it again!!!I called the cable company and they sent me to Tech Support Level 2. The man said its because the xbox has its own "number" and the pc. I asked him if that was the case why it NEVER did it before?! He said he had no clue but he is sure it did I just didnt notice it! Well so he told me from now on to turn the power off then plug it up let it wait then turn it on and it should work! Well it didnt!!! So I called back about 2 days later! Well they said they would send someone out. I got a call at 4:42 friday saying a tech was on his way...8:00pm and NO ONE shows up! Its getting to the point that it will be on for about 8hours then just disconnect! Well I called again this morning and they said the same crap!!! We will send someone out! I finally was like NO! Take this modem and shove it! The guy brought up o you will owe 200 for not going for your full two years and blah blah. Well I told him I would OWE it but would not pay it! I have had this service for over a year and NEVER had a problem you give me a crappy modem and I have had a problem from day one! You will not send someone out here to give me a new modem but I be damn If im late someone would be here in a heartbeat to cut it off! Well he sent me to his manger and his manger told me to DRIVE to the MAINoffice and get a new one! I was like ?!?!?! You want me to do your techs job?!?!?! Anyways...I ended up cussin out the manger and his boss and went to the main office and cussed out another lady who got smart with me! I did get a new modem! I guess a ruff draft I made atleast 17 calls and was told 4 times someone would come out here!!! Those are just some main convos I remember. Was I wrong for getting mad?
