Re: Drive By Wire, or Drive By Cable
been driving a 2015 3500 crew cab daily for the last month. im starting to like it. it is new tho still, might have 10,000 miles on it.
it gas pedal was like a damn rock when we picked it up, took almost 6 months to soften up to feel normal. the 6 speed tranny takes some getting used to as well.

Idk the window switches and door lock switches are absolute crap in the 03, and in my other grandpa's 2000 chevy silverado 1500 they were different and much better.
Re: Drive By Wire, or Drive By Cable
I've been told some dbw tb's start closing at high rpm.. I'm not ok with that
Re: Drive By Wire, or Drive By Cable
Rarely if ever a problem for that to happen. If the motor is weak and can't hold it self steady then maybe.
Look at all the new cars from the american side and all the euro cars that have been DBW for over 10 years longer than the USA, they don't have these problems. Many pushing over 600-700hp with a warranty. Then the aftermarket guys making even more with simple mods and stock throttle bodies.
The only times the computer should shut the throttle is for traction control/stabilitrak and to save the car from itself like on shifts or torque mngt abuse settings.

Yeah I can't stand the delay of the drive by wire
