    That's why I'm putting a new oil pump in, with the re-gasket and everything before I top-swap. It works fine, but I want it working like new.

    I feel your frustration, man. Generally when it comes to cars, I leave the conversation/situation if the person is too afraid to say "I don't know." Avoid alotta jack@sses that way. And apparently this douche, your douche, knew everything.

    It creates the habit of scanning for it every couple of days, so I don't get a nasty surprise one day.
